Well the ones related to this project, let’s see…

• Be consistent in posting everyday.
• Start adding color to the sketches at least once per week
• Try at least 4 new styles before day 365 (watercolor portrait, The style of Christopher Hart, maybe the stuff of Justin Cook, and I don’t know what else).
• Post several of my caricatures to caricaturama showdown 3000!

Today’s mysterious person…

She was supposed to be  exaggerated, but it looks like I didn’t exaggerate enough 😛

I don’t know how my mind works that when i’m trying to be accurate, they look supper exaggerated and when i’m trying to exaggerate, they look accurate, I must be adopted and my real last name should be Contreras (an actual last name in Spanish, that literally means someone who is contrary all of the time)

The calendar year is almost over! have you done your resolution list yet?

OK this is a bit morbid, and hopefully i’m not desecrating his memory.

this is a person that died recently and although I didn’t know him well, I got to respect him and his “zen” attitude towards everything. May he RIP

I was reading an article about Facebook accounts of people that are dead, it seem interesting, but quite frankly I didn’t pay much attention. Then I come across this contact. People used his profile to honor him, to say what they thought about him and what he thought them, I know it is not the same as telling the person while still alive, but I still think it is a beautiful way of getting closure for his friends and family.

I’m working with a different marker today, it is kind of hard to control the thickness of the lines with a king size sharpie, but the results are interesting 🙂
