I’ve seen so many drawings that are titled “quick sketch” and they have crosshatching, amazing lines and ridiculous resemblance to their subject that I cannot accept the term quick or even sketch. What would be a slow sketch? what does a finished drawing look like for them? I find myself trying to do quick sketches that end up taking more than 10 minutes each, no crosshatching and definitely no perfect lines… What’s your secret quick sketchers out there?!

This is a 10 minute pencil sketch, I use a black marker to make the lines visible to the camera while being able to shoot with a flash.
